Payroll Reports: provide information for use by management in evaluating their employee policies and payroll costs. Two of these reports provide direct output for printing 941, W-2, and W-3 forms. Some reports, such as the Employee Earnings, Employee History, Quarterly Compensation, and Taxable Wage Reports supply information useful to both the employer and the employees.

[-] Quick Employee List Report:

prints a list of active, non-active or both (active and non-active) employees. The report includes the following detail for each employee: employee number, employee department, employee name, employee SSN, employee status, and other information determined by the sort by and additional filter fields selected.
[-] W-2 Report (e-File!):

W-2 reports can be printed for one employee, all employees, or a selected range of employees. The report is pre-formatted to print out on the preprinted W-2 forms. When you choose to print Plain Paper W-2s/W-3s, all appropriate boxes and headings will print as well. If you purchase and install Cougar Mountain 's Payroll Tax Update, the Plain Paper W-2s/W-3s will automatically be updated to the current tax year.

There is not one person that has ever complained about e-filing their W-2s because regardless of anything this is a huge time saver! Now you can e-file your CMS Professional Payroll W-2s, state and quarterly payroll taxes by subscribing to Aatrix's eFile Service. To learn more about this contact your Account Executive today, 1.800.388.3038.
[-] Snapshot Reporting:

This function works similar to a dashboard and will save you hours upon hours of time compiling data. You can look at your “Business Condition” for General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Sales (Point of Sale and Order Entry) and Inventory with the click of a few buttons.

Financial Snapshot Report Each module provides different information along with charts and graphs, giving you options to select the specific information you are looking for. It will save your settings from the last time you entered so you don’t have to set it up every time. Unless, of course, you are looking for different data.

There is no doubt that this feature will save you time and provide you with information critical to your organization. Here’s a list of highlights of the information you can find on these reports and useful for taking to the bank.

Print the financial data based on a period or date range along with a graph of the total net income/loss per period for the current fiscal year.
[-] Master Employee Report:

prints information stored in the employee's master record. The report contains the following: employee number, employee department, employee name, employee SSN, User-Defined Fields (if selected).
[-] Employee Earnings Report:

provides a breakdown of all earnings for each employee selected (includes pay type categories, such as regular pay, overtime, vacation pay, sick pay, etc.; various taxes and types of wages). You may run the report for monthly, quarterly or yearly earnings.
[-] Custom Reports Menu Enhanced:

We have added more reports and enhancements to the custom reports menu that we started with the Version 11 release. With Version 12 you no longer have to worry about overwriting your custom reports during upgrades etc. You can now easily separate the custom reports from the originals by saving them elsewhere on your computer. In addition you now have the ability to create multiple custom reports, save them, and still keep the original. The Dated Invoice/Payment, GL Expense Distribution and History reports are now accessible from the custom reports menu.
[-] Additional Queries on Reports:

Found in: AP, AR, GL, IN, and PO
What a timesaver! This is a continuation of a feature we started in version 11 by providing you with a "Search For" option on many reports. Well, now with Version 12 we have created additional queries and improved functionality for the Dated Invoice/Payment and History reports.
[-] Edit Report Update - Account Impact Summary Report:

This system-wide report allows you to see what effect the posting will have on your General Ledger accounts prior to the actual posting. This provides you with real-time information you need so that you actually see what your balances will be once you've posted and what you can expect - income, expenses, overall cashflow.

Print Account Impact Summary checkbox If any errors are found during posting, then this report will print the validation errors instead of the account impact which is very helpful if you have a large number of transactions to post.
[-] Employee Benefit / Deduction Report:

shows (if selected) the benefits, deductions, additions, tips, and EIC codes for the selected employees. The report includes the following for each employee: amount per period, amount remaining, last amount used, total amount used for; month(s), quarter(s), year(s), use amount running (yes or no), and sort by field.
[-] Employee Project Report:

If you charge employee time to job codes when payroll is prepared, this report provides good information and is a great project management tool. Depending on the criteria you set, you are able to see how many hours are being spent on a project and how much it is costing in respect to employee time and wages. These reports let you see if you are staying within your budget projections. If not, early warnings provided by the reports allow you to decide what action must be taken to correct this over-budget situation before costs get out of hand. The reports provide you with the following detail: units: per employee and total hours for: regular, overtime, vacation, sick leave, other; and pay: per employee and total costs for: regular, overtime, vacation, sick pay, add to gross, other and gross pay.
[-] Employee History Report:

shows the number of units and dollar amount for each pay type for each employee selected. You can print the report for the entire fiscal year or any date range you wish.
[-] Employee Leave Report:

provides a summary list for each employee. It reflects the balance (amount accrued less amount taken) of earned leave in units. The following information is listed on the report: employee department, employee number, employee name, and sort by field. Plus, year-to-date unit balance for the following (if selected): vacation units, sick units, and other units.
[-] EFTPS History Report:

provides the payroll tax amounts necessary for preparing EFTPS coupons. Since the report must be filed with the government within a specific time frame, this report is helpful if you prepare payroll in advance of payday. On the day you actually deliver paychecks, you can print this report for the required time frame and use the information it provides to complete the federal report. See "Print the Pre-posting EFTPS Report" for a pre-posting version of this report. The report contains FICA earnings, wages, tips and sick pay, Social Security wages and tips, and Medicare wages and tips. It also contains Federal Unemployment tax.

If you prepare payroll several days before actual payday, you may want to use the after-posting version of this report (see the "EFTPS History Report").
[-] Employer's Quarterly Report [941]:

The Employer's Quarterly Report is formatted to print your quarterly 941 report information on the preprinted government form. You also have the option to print the report on plain paper, which you have had preprinted with the appropriate headings. All calculations for the form are taken from the payroll data files and automatically calculated by Payroll. Any adjustments entered in the report window are included where necessary in the calculations on the form.
[-] 941A Report:

provides year-to-date tax history on selected employees by quarter.
[-] Electronic Media W-2 Report:

Use the electronic filing option to report information electronically for the Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, to the Social Security Administration. This report is also used for electronically reporting the quarterly tax information submitted on Form 941.
[-] Employee Department Report:

provides a breakdown of units and wages earned by each employee in the department, or the total units and wages charged against each department project.

Other Features:

[-] System Wide File Maintenance:

You can now Reindex all files from the main menu. What a time saver! You no longer have to go into each module and reindex them individually. Reindex Data Files window To make this feature even better you can tie it into the Automatic Backup feature. You can set the system backup to reindex prior to doing the backup. If you use the advanced options you can even stop the backup if errors are found in the reindex. A full Run Log is provided so you will know exactly where the problem is.
[-] Enhanced Date Block Range for Posting:

Have you ever accidentally posted a check for the right day but the wrong year? In previous versions we allowed you to block postings to prior periods by setting this block. In Version 12 we have enhanced this feature to also block future periods from posting.

Fiscal Calendar window This allows you the option of blocking all postings in all modules for a specific period(s) within the fiscal calendar. You will receive an error message if you attempt to post a transaction that is outside of the date block range, i.e. posting to 2008 instead of 2007.
[-] Include Reference/Batch Number on Check Register:

Found in: IN, OE, and POS
AP Check Register Report now includes the posting reference numbers for easier tracking.

AP Check Register Report Now after you post tranasctions to Accounts Payable, you can track the module, reference number, transaction number, and batch number for every transaction. This might be beneficial, for example, if there is an error in a transaction and you want to track it back to the individual who posted it.
