Chief Executive Officer
Chuck Gossett came to Cougar Mountain Software in 2006 after serving multiple years on the Board of Directors and Treasurer for this Gossett family-owned business. Chuck assumed the role of President and CEO of Cougar Mountain Software on the heels of his father’s, Robert Gossett who retired in 2008.
Outside of Cougar Mountain, Chuck has been a local business owner for over three decades. He has owned and managed multiple businesses.
Executive Vice President
David Haworth, Executive Vice President, is responsible for growing the company’s revenue and maintaining Cougar Mountain’s market-leading position in the point of sale, payroll, accounting and nonprofit accounting software industry. Haworth oversees all aspects of sales including channel development, sales personnel recruiting and training, vertical market identification, sales strategy and support. Haworth has been managing the development of national award-winning sales teams and customer support for more than 20 years.
Since joining Cougar Mountain Software in 2004, Haworth has held numerous positions, which include Business Development Manager, Director of Customer Support, and most recently, Chief Sales Officer. Before joining the Cougar Mountain team, Haworth held executive management positions within the technology industry including more than 10 years at Micron Technology and Micron PC. He received multiple national sales awards and grew his market into number-one revenue positions in the industry.
Haworth earned a B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems from Boise State University.
Joe Walker, Marketing Manager, joined Cougar Mountain in March of 2014 and immediately made an impact implementing his proven marketing experience and his eye for detail. Joe has been responsible for managing various marketing projects and processes and contributed to the rapid growth and success of various businesses. He ensures that the corporate website, collateral material and other communications accurately reflects our corporate brand.
Joe has lived in Idaho for over 20 years. He has 4 children and 2 grandkids. He is originally from Gresham, Oregon but considers Boise his real home.
Joe has a B.A. in Advertising Management from Brigham Young University and a M.A. in Organizational Communications from Boise State University.
Ann Geisel started working at Cougar Mountain Software in 2010 as a Support Technician and was promoted to Support Manager before she took over the role of Product Manager. Her background includes an associate’s degree in accounting, a bachelor’s degree in business, and 11 years of management experience.
As Product Manager, Ann assists with product planning, design, and marketing. She contributes to the design process throughout the product lifecycle, gathers and prioritizes product and customer requirements, works closely with the development teams to deliver winning products, and defines the product vision.
Ann’s vision is to go beyond increasing the profitability of existing products. She wants to use her industry experience as well as insights from customers and prospects to create new products for the company.
Development Group Manager
Greg has been with Cougar Mountain Software since 1998. He was hired as a Software Quality (SQ) Specialist. He was promoted to SQ Lead and eventually to SQ Manager. In 2008, Greg became the Cougar Mountain Comptroller, but moved back to the Development Group in 2011, shortly before the team transitioned to an Agile development environment.
Greg began his testing career at Micron Technology in the Test department, eventually serving as manager of the Burn-In Test department. He left Micron to attend BSU full-time to finish his BBA in Finance with an Economics minor.
In his free time, Greg is working towards finishing a baseball stadium tour (if they ever stop building new stadiums).
Stephanie Rasmussen joined the Cougar Mountain team in early 2012 and brought over 10 years of customer service experience from companies such as DIRECTV. The knowledge she gained in those years paired with the personal training she received at Cougar Mountain helps her deliver the Cougar Mountain Customer Support experience, which differentiates Cougar Mountain from vendors who only have call centers.
As Support Manager, Stephanie is responsible for the delivery of exceptional customer service. She manages the in-house Support team, monitors incoming calls, and ensures timely response of the highest quality of service possible.
Stephanie is currently completing a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance. Outside of Cougar Mountain, you can find Stephanie enjoying time with her family.
Joyce is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations of Cougar Mountain Software and managing the Operations department.
Since joining Cougar Mountain Software in 1995, Joyce has held several positions, which include Technical Support Specialist, Quality Assurance Specialist, and finally, Comptroller. After moving out of state in 2008, Joyce came back to Cougar Mountain Software as Comptroller in 2011.
Outside of Cougar Mountain, Joyce enjoys performing arts, such as Broadway shows and musicals, and is a season ticket holder for the Idaho Shakespeare Festival.
