Backup your Data
Sometimes a complete data restore is the only way to recover from corruption or a disaster. Cougar Mountain Support will do its best to help you recover your accounting data if needed. It is important to note that we fully support the DENALI backup utility, and may not be able to assist with data retrieval if backups are not performed or you use other backup utilities or methods. We also recommend our iVault backup storage service to better protect your financial data.
- Go to the Controller module of the organization you want to back up.
- Select Options > Back Up Company > Back Up from the menu bar.
- In the Back Up window, leave the default destination path or browse to the destination where you want to save the zip file.
- Click OK to start the backup.
Backups are performed for a reason; they are an insurance policy against lost data. Perform backups frequently and avoid the task of re-entering organization data.

"I have a question that I hope you can help me with regarding one of my employees that processes our invoices through Order Entry. I am trying to see if I can restrict her rights to override a credit limit on a customer‘s account. I do not see where this can be done in a user’s rights—only a salesperson’s authority. Our salespeople are all outside salespeople that are assigned to accounts, but they never produce an invoice. We are producing the invoice that will be on a specific customer that has a salesperson assigned to that customer. Can you give me any help here?”
