General Considerations

General Considerations for Running Denali

Network Speeds (Not Internet)

  • Denali is network intensive: having a 1 Gbps, (1000 Mbps) connection is preferred over a 100 Mbps
  • Denali operations more efficiently on wired vs wireless networks.

Monitor

  • The optimal resolution for Denali is 1920×1080 (4k monitors are not recommend).

Solid State Drives

  • Use SSD (Solid State Drive) instead of HDD (Hard Disk Drive) to ensure high I/O performance and read and write times.

CPU- recommendation

  • Intel® Core i3 4th generation (or an equivalent AMD processor)

Terminal Server

  • Denali can be installed on Windows Servers running Remote Desktop Services or Remote App.
  • Note that some features of the software will not work simultaneously in conjunction with RDS.
    • Example: multiple people printing the same report to screen simultaneously.

Local Settings

  • Set system date on the local computer to MM/dd/yyyy
  • Set region in Windows to English (United States)

Notes

Note: Operating Systems should have the latest available service packs (SPs) from Microsoft®. If you process credit/debit cards using MerchantWARE® TransPort™ (MWT), please be advised that MWT does not support any “Home” versions from Microsoft.
Note: Data servers should have 4 GB for up to 4 users with an additional 2 GB of RAM per user over 4 (i.e. 5 users would be 6 GB, 6 users would be 8 GB)
Note: Denali operates with either 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems.

Windows Support Lifecycle

  • Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019,Windows Server 2022, SQL Server 2014 (on 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems) and SQL Server 2016, SQL Server 2017, SQL Server 2019, SQL Server 2022 (on 64-bit operating systems) are copyrights of Microsoft®.
