CMS Professional 2009
To say CMS Professional 2009 is full of great new features and tools would be an understatement. We’re planning for an August release, so if you’ve been thinking about upgrading, this is the time to do it! Here are two more of the features you can expect in the latest release!
- Include Lot Numbers for Inventory Tracking: You can now assign lot numbers to your inventory items and track the lots throughout your system. This can be useful if you want to group items together by certain criteria, such as arrival date or vendor.
- Print Packing Slip and Picking Tickets during Order Entry: with CMS Professional 2009 you have the ability to print one or more packing slips and picking tickets before you print your invoice.

Our Trophy Case is Growing
Since our last newsletter, Cougar Mountain software has been honored with two more glowing reviews from leading publications.
In the April, 2008, issue of the CPA Technology Advisor, writer Mary Girsch-Bock had this to say about the CMS Professional Job Cost module”
“An excellent accounting product. . . the job cost module does an admirable job of effectively tracking costs for all jobs entered into the system. . . A Custom Customization
Beginning this year Cougar Mountain Software broke new ground by offering custom modification services. This new service allows us to better assist our customers with their unique needs by altering our products to accommodate a third-party application or a bridge so information can be shared between two distinctly different platforms.
Customization will allow us to further our partnership with our customers and offer our expertise and technical proficiency to expand on an already industry-acclaimed setup and deliver a truly customized solution—the first of its kind. Additionally we offer follow-up services for this modification from training, to support, and modification updates that coincide with our overall software updates.

Cougar Mountain Road Show
Talk about a solid bang-for-your-buck! The Cougar Mountain Road Show is not only a terrific opportunity to get first-class training from one of our best instructors (Kevin Winston),
they’re perfectly situated in some of the most dynamic venues in the country—the perfect chance to mix pleasure and fun in the nation’s most frequented tourist destinations. Here’s a quick look at some of the events we have planned in the upcoming months!
Boise, Idaho is not only the headquarters for Cougar Mountain Software—it’s the headquarters for Cougar Mountain University! Join us for one of our training sessions (July 14-18 for CMS Professional Accounting and July 28-Augst 1 for CMS Pro FUND training) for hands-on training you won’t find anywhere else. Our state-of-the-art classroom allows us to seat each attendee at their own 
computer station with access to the software so you can follow along with the instructor as they explain how to get the most out of the software’s tools and features.
July is a busy month for us. Not only are we planning two weeks of training here in Boise, we’ve planned another seminar in downtown Denver, Colorado! This is the second time we’ll visit the mile-high city since starting the Road Show so if you missed the first event, be sure to reserve a seat this time through!
In August, we’re planning a Road Show first—
venturing outside the continental 48 for a session in Anchorage, Alaska. If you’ve ever wanted to visit the Final Frontier—but just needed a reason to go—this is it! We’re already filling seats fast so if you plan on attending, call an Account Executive today to get the details.
As we move into September and the fall, visit our website often for updates on our other venues like Chicago, Dallas, Long Beach, and Orlando. For the remainder of 2008, we’re planning to make Road Show pit stop in at least one city per month. Find out if we’re coming anywhere close to you!
2008 Business Partner Conference
In early June Cougar Mountain Software hosted the annual Business Partner Conference—just one of the many ways we stay in touch with our resellers. Over the span of two days we’re able to show them what’s new from CMS and produce brief training sessions so they know how to use the latest tools and features.
This was also a first in terms of venue—the entire conference was broadcast via the internet so partners were able to get the same in-depth overview of the products and save time and money on travel costs.
