Installation Plan
Cougar Mountain Software takes customer suggestions very seriously, as a result of one such request; we have created a new installation plan – an Annual Installation Plan. In the past, plans were purchased per installation need. However recognizing that our Software Assurance customers get multiple up dates and one upgrade each year, well we realized purchasing an installation plan per upgrade can become costly. And knowing that everyone is quite cost conscious these days, our new Annual Installation plan includes:
- Up to 4 installations annually (Upgrades, service packs and/or tax updates).
- Up to 2 hours of support time* per install (double the hours).
- Plans are available for single or multi-license users. Click here
*Note: If your installation takes longer than 2 hours, the additional minutes will be taken out of your support minutes.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF COUGAR MOUNTAIN SOFTWARE
Cougar Mountain Software was founded in 1982 by Bob Gossett, with a vision to provide businesses with a powerful accounting software solution. Cougar Mountain’s success emerged through continued investment in product development, along with advancements in software and hardware technology. Cougar Mountain Software has always prided itself on a superior product, great customer service, never outsourcing and having a hands-on relationship with their customers.
Bob retired late in 2008 after serving over 26 years as President and CEO of Cougar Mountain Software. Yet the legacy of this accounting software company continues within the Gossett family, as the title of President & CEO has been passed onto Bob’s son, Chuck Gossett.
Bob Gossett once wrote in a letter to the employees of Cougar Mountain Software, in 2004, “We may never be the biggest software solutions provider, but that’s not our mission. Our mission is to be the best software solutions provider by continually exceeding our customer’s product and service expectations.” That heritage is sure to be carried on with the new generation of this Gossett run company.
COUGAR MOUNTAIN SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES A NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO
As mentioned above, Bob Gossett has retired from Cougar Mountain Software after 26 years as President and CEO. His title has been passed on to Chuck Gossett, who is very excited to take on the new challenges of this company.
Chuck Gossett came to Cougar Mountain Software in 2006 after serving multiple years on the Board of Directors, as Treasurer.
Outside of Cougar Mountain, Chuck has been a local business owner for over three decades. He has owned and managed multiple businesses and retains a passive interest in Gossett and Davis Appraisal Services Inc.
“With our latest releases, CMS Professional 2009, CMS Total eCom and our new custom modifications unit, we feel we are in a good position to take on the many challenges in 2009. My father took pride in the service and integrity and products he built with this company, and I look forward to continuing those values,” said Chuck Gossett.

COUGAR MOUNTAIN UNIVERSITY AND TRAINING ROADSHOWS
With each newsletter it seems we spend a lot of time telling you about the great locations we hold our Cougar Mountain Training Roadshows in, but maybe we aren’t telling you enough about what we are covering in the classes. After all isn’t that the real reason you’re signing up for these sessions – to learn something. So instead here’s a list of the next four sites where our trainings will be held, Phoenix, AZ, Boise, ID (FUND training), Portland, OR and Las Vegas, Nevada. Now let’s tell you what you will be learning in these great places in the training.
For all Roadshow training, excluding FUND the itinerary is as follows:
- Day One - Day Three - General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Order Entry and Accounts Payable.
- Optional Day Four - Payroll, Bank Reconciliation and Purchase Order.

FUND Training in Boise itinerary is:
Day One- Day Three

- Optional Day 4 - In regards to the FUND Revenue Center program, covers Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Order Entry and POS.
