Cougar Mountain HQ Gets a Facelift
Earlier this spring the Cougar University training facility at our headquarters in Boise, Idaho received a facelift—actually, it was a complete renovation. The end result is a
larger, state-of-the-art facility designed to give our users a more in-depth education on the ins- and outs of using their Cougar Mountain Software.
But not everything is new—our key instructor Kevin Winston will still spearhead each and every course. When not in Boise, Kevin is often on the road as part of the CMS Training Road Show, and judging by the feedback from past students, a terrific instructor—one that can show you how to use your software to its full potential and have some fun too while learning.

In 2008 Cougar Mountain Software is making another stride in our commitment to our customers by offering custom modification services. Have a third-party application you would like to integrate with your Cougar Mountain setup? Want information to be shared between two distinctly different platforms? Give us a call and let us see what we could do to custom modify our software to fit your needs.
Under this new umbrella our goal is to satisfy any of our client’s unique accounting software needs. This could be as simple as converting data from an outdated accounting software system and creating custom reports, or as advanced as creating a bridge that links any existing product sets in an office to the necessary Cougar Mountain Software modules and embedding specific tools into the software before it ships out the door.
In many ways this new service allows us to further our partnership with our customers and offer our expertise and technical proficiency to expand on an already industry-acclaimed setup and deliver a truly customized solution—the first of its kind. Additionally we offer follow-up services for this modification from training, to support, and modification updates that coincide with our overall software updates.

Road Show Rolls On!
The CMS Training Road Show is a hit—pure and simple. We’ve received an overwhelming response in every city we’ve visited so we’re doing the only reasonable thing—we’re coordinating more events! Want to attend? It’s easy; we’re planning at least one pit stop per month for the next six months! Here’s a quick look at some of the events we have lined up

For the Seattle Road Show event we've selected a venue within walking distance to all this great city has to offer like the Pike Place Market and the Space Needle Tower. Like the rest of our events this includes three information-packed days in the classroom with the option of a fourth, and the chance to network with other CMS users.
The third week in May, 2008, the Road Show will make an appearance in fabulous Las Vegas! It's been over a year since we visited this terrific destination but we've received a lot of requests to return so here's your chance!
What a great way to roll into the summer than a trip to the Jersey shore! Atlantic City is one the most famous hotspots on the eastern seaboard and a location we felt was perfectly suited to host a pit stop on our CMS training Road Show. These events are ideal opportunities for us to educate you on the many facets and tools incorporated within your software--and allow you to explore the greatest destination cities in your spare time.
This event marks our return to Denver. In early 2007 we coordinated a Road Show pit stop and had such an overwhelming response we decided to do it again! July is a
wonderful time to be in the Rocky Mountains and we expect this event to be just as popular as last year.
Since we started the CMS Training Road Show, at least one person from each seminar has requested a scheduled appearance in the heart of the Final Frontier. So this August, Cougar Mountain Software is heading north to Alaska! We can already tell you that this is shaping up to be one of our most popular Road Show events to date! CMS Professional 2009
It’s almost here (cue drum roll please). This August Cougar Mountain Software will release the next version of our most popular software lineup, CMS Professional 2009. Here are just two of the DOZENS of features we’re plugging in. If you’ve been thinking about upgrading, this is the time to do it!
- Attach Documents to Master Records: This new feature allows users to attach documents and files to master records such as Inventory items, Customers, or Vendors. It also means you can link documents saved on your computers for easy reference and access.
- Block Charges to Past Due Customers: With this feature the system will automatically block any changes for customers that are past due. We will also have a label appear on the sales entry screen identifying past due customers.
We’ll keep you posted on the release date, but in the meantime, enroll in our Software Assurance program if you haven’t already done so. This will not only guarantee you receive the latest version of CMS software, it grants you access to all the patches and updates we release throughout the year!
