There are various ways in which you can apply discounts in DENALI. You can set up price-break discounts in Inventory, customer discounts in Accounts Receivable and Sales, promotional pricing in Sales, or apply a direct discount to a single invoice in Sales. This image shows only one of the ways in which you can set up discounts for certain customers who purchase specific stock items.


DENALI offers several preferences that you can set up to help facilitate and speed up the sales entry process. As this image shows, you can determine what types of transactions are allowed in either of the sales components (OE or POS), the default settings such as starting invoice numbers, or even printing options such as always printing two copies of a receipt. These preferences are one more way in which DENALI provides flexibility to help meet your business needs.


Depending on your business, you might want more fields available for sales entry, or you might only need a few. Either way, in DENALI, you can customize the sales entry screen for all your workstations or you can even set up different layouts for each different workstation! This image reflects the Sales set up layout function and how you can preview the layout prior to saving.


In DENALI, there are several options available to help you track specific information. For example, in Sales, you can set up User-Defined Fields that allow you to customize fields in the sales entry windows to gather the desired information. As you can see in this image, you could set up fields to gather specific information about a customer and you can then include this information in reports or use it as filters for the report.


Cougar Mountain strives to help ensure your sales transaction data is secure. One way that DENALI offers data security in Sales is through the use of Salesperson Codes. You can set up individual codes for each of your salespeople for which you select the level of security that each has. For instance, if you want to allow only certain salespeople the ability to accept checks over $500, you can set this limit on the Salesperson Code.
