Chuck Gossett

Chief Executive Officer

Chuck Gossett came to Cougar Mountain Software in 2006 after serving multiple years on the Board of Directors and Treasurer for this Gossett family-owned business. Chuck assumed the role of President and CEO of Cougar Mountain Software on the heels of his father’s, Robert Gossett who retired 2008.

Outside of Cougar Mountain, Chuck has been a local business owner for over three decades. He has owned and managed multiple businesses.

Cary Welsh

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer for Cougar Mountain Software, Cary Welsh is responsible for determining appropriate products and markets for Cougar Mountain software and services. He also oversees the Cougar Mountain teams responsible for customer and business partner training, and for training products and product documentation.

Welsh is also responsible for the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships that leverage the strength of Cougar Mountain products.

Welsh joined the company in 1994 in technical support, and from there progressed to a lead position. He then moved into training and formed the training department for Cougar Mountain. Welsh moved into a director’s position as the director of training and then took on additional responsibility for systems design. He and his team are instrumental in the release of Cougar Mountain product lines.

Dave Galligher

Chief Information Officer

Dave Galligher, Chief Information Officer for Cougar Mountain Software, is responsible for ensuring that product strategy and direction continue to match market needs. In addition, Galligher oversees software architecture, product development and budget adherence.

Galligher was instrumental in the development and initial implementation of Cougar Mountain's Windows®-based accounting software and has led the development team for the company’s newest product line, DENALI. Since he has been at Cougar Mountain, Galligher has helped identify crucial target markets and develop comprehensive business solutions packages for those key markets.

Dave joined Cougar Mountain in 1995, after five years as the founder and CEO of Datalogic, a high-tech consulting firm that specialized in both software and hardware development for companies like Hewlett Packard, BFI, and several other high-tech companies. Galligher has been in the software development industry for more than 30 years.

Considered an expert in his field, Galligher has taught programming classes at the University of Washington and Bellevue Community College, and presents key-note speeches at various universities and trade schools.

Director of Product Management

Lori Pennington, Director of Product Management, is responsible for determining what features and products are needed to meet the demands of our current customers and prospective customers. In order to accomplish this, she leads a team that conducts market research and gathers customer requirements. From there she and her team design innovative software, new products and enhancements to maintain the continued growth of Cougar Mountain Software (as well as uphold our excellence in the industry). Lori also oversees management of our Custom Services Division that customizes our software to individual customer needs.

Lori joined Cougar Mountain Software as a Technical Writer in November 2003. By 2006 she was leading the Documentation Team.  In 2009 she transitioned over to Product Management as Senior Product Manager, gaining her current position as Director of Product Management in 2010.

Lori holds a B.A. in English with a Technical Communication Emphasis and an M.A. in Technical Communication from Boise State University. Lori has authored and co-authored multiple articles in trade and academic journals. She is also an adjunct professor of business and technical communication at Boise State University.
