Job Schedule Report: |
| |
lists the start and end dates for specified jobs as well as the dates entered for individual cost codes of each job when the "detailed" report type is selected from the drop-down list box. This is useful for scheduling workloads, employees, vacations, and holiday closures to ensure that jobs are completed on schedule. For example, you could run this report for a certain job, and then compare the scheduled completion dates of different cost codes of the job against the company calendar, employees' scheduled time off, and business closures due to holidays, training sessions, etc. You could also use this report to assess the manpower needed for a job to determine whether more personnel will be needed. You can also use this report to find out which jobs are due by a certain date, which subcontractors are scheduled to be working on what jobs, and what materials will be required, and by when, for certain jobs.

Control Report: |

shows the amounts posted to the Detail and Summary databases for the jobs. Job Cost creates two databases when transactions are posted for jobs. If the posting is interrupted for any reason, these two database files can be corrupted, so the summary file amount does not equal the total of the detail amounts. Run this report to verify these amounts are the same. This report also allows you to compare the Work in Process amounts recorded on a job to the costs recorded on the Job Master records.
